The short version: Your document images never leave your phone. Ever.
We only collect the minimum information needed to register your device and comply
with lawful court orders.
1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect
Stored on your iPhone only (never transmitted)
- Photographs of your identity documents
- Document type labels and nicknames you assign
These images are encrypted on your device using the iOS Secure Enclave and
are never transmitted to any server under any circumstances.
Collected during registration (one time only)
- First and last name
- Street address
- Phone number
- A device fingerprint (a one-way hash of device identifiers)
This information is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage.
It is never stored in plaintext.
Collected on every app unlock
- IP address
- GPS location (only if you grant permission)
- Timestamp
This access log exists to support law enforcement compliance
and to help verify the security of your account.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To register and identify your device
- To maintain an access log for security and legal compliance purposes
- To respond to lawful judicial orders (see Section 5)
- To manage your subscription
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your data to any third party
for marketing or commercial purposes.
4. Data Security
Document images are protected by the iOS Secure Enclave and require
your biometric authentication to access. Identity data on our server is
encrypted using AES-256-GCM — the same standard used by the US government
for classified information. All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher.
5. Law Enforcement & Judicial Orders
Upon receipt of a valid judicial warrant, we may be compelled to produce:
- Your name, address, and phone number (decrypted from our records)
- Your device fingerprint
- Your access log (IP addresses, GPS coordinates, timestamps)
We cannot produce document images under any circumstances.
They exist only on your device, encrypted by hardware we cannot access.
All warrant responses are logged and require legal review before any
data is disclosed.
6. Your Rights
- Delete documents: Delete any document at any time from within the app
- Delete account: Contact us to request deletion of your registration record
- Access your data: Contact us to request a copy of your access log
- Location: You may deny location permission — only your IP will be logged
7. Data Retention
- Document images: Until you delete them or uninstall the app
- Registration record: Retained for legal compliance purposes
- Access log: Retained for legal compliance purposes
8. Children
Official Documents is not directed at children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify
registered users of material changes. Continued use of the app after
changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
